Just got a new hard drive for my main computer and did a fresh install of Mandrake 8.2. Install went smoothly but there's an oddity. Mandrake Control Center won't open. Not from the icon on the desktop, not from the menu item, and not from a terminal. It gets as far as aking for the root password (if run from a user account) then nothing. no error message, nothing. anyone know how to fix this? (I Installed the US English language... I know there's some kind of bug with the other locales...so that's not it)
