if we are talking about durring installation, instead of enter, hit f1 (like
when using rescue mode) and (instead of typing "rescue") type MEM=xxx then
hit enter. ( I am doing this from memory, and I have this short term memory
problem,,,, but maybe it's been long enough since i had to do this that it
might be there) maybe it is like at a lilo text prompt typing "linux MEM=xxx"
OR
if we are talking about passing in the lilo.conf file, you would use a space
and add mem-xxx or NOapic to the append line, within the quotes. remember,
only one append line per lilo stanza.
"NOapic" is no silver club member wonder bullett, just one of those things
that the standards have not worked out themselves from all the different
hardware combos possible. and should not be attempted with SMP systems, or so
I am told, I don't think it will let the smoke out but I don't want to try my
own SMP box to find that out.
