IF the parport module was compiled at kernel installation time, the module would actually already be installed - so if you do an "lsmod" and it's not there, then it ain't really there. You'll have to recompile the kernel sources - at least the drivers - and then copy the parport.o from it's source directory to the proper modules directory - or just do a straight recompile of the kernel - which CAN break things if you're not too careful... > And IRQ 19???
