konq has no problem with my digital camera produced jpeg files, only

Anyone got any ideas as to why ?

Hi John. Don't know why Konq. won't display those pics, but why are you taking the long way home? If you are using Xsane to scan, then just change the file ending to *.jpg and it will save in the JPG format, then you can skip having to do a conversion. :-)

When I do it like that - the resulting pics display fine.

Hope this helps! :-)

Sorry , Not sure I understand , I'm scanning the picures with my epsom scanner using
Xsane the scanner programme, it creates a .pnm file but if I change the file to .jpg it creates
a .jpg file automatically in my chosen directory. However I believe it employs gimp to do this,
I maybe Wrong, but whether it does or not these .jpg files don't all readily display in konqueror
and although they do display just fine in gimp , it's the konqueror aspect I'm questioning .
Why does konqueror choke on doing the same thing other programmes can do easily ?

John
