Tired of Spam. Get spamassassin not MSN !!!! You just need to adjust your mixer settings. If you are running KDE yjen Kmenu>Multimedia>Sound>Kmix Set the level how you like then File>Save settings, and they will be loaded next time you boot. If you like a little mixer icon in your 'start bar' then Settings>ConfigureKmix check the box for 'System Tray Volume Control' voila it appears. To make sure it is there next time you log on, when logging off KDE check the 'Save session for future logins' box. On the next boot KDE will come up exactly as ot was when you logged out with all windows and System Tray items. Then *next time* you log out *uncheck* the save session box. Then all future sessions will come up just like your saved session. As for Opera. The RPM is not a Mnadrake RPM, and does not have a menu entry. Just open menudrake and create a menu entry linking the entry to the command /usr/bin/opera The RPM will have put an Opera icon inthe system which is available for you to select. As for a desktop icon. If you already have a menu item , then just drag an drop the item out of the K menu onto the desktop. Alternatively right click on the desktop, and select CreateNew>Link to application, and fill out the boxes, and pick an icon by clicking on the default icon.
