Hard to say - what is it that you're trying to either open or view on the FAT32 partitions? Could it be mixed case? > File Permissions are still a tricky issue for me, coming from single > user desktop environments. You're not going to be able to do much about the file system permissions of a FAT32 drive - no matter what you do - unless you run Windows - otherwise, ain't no changing 'em whilst using linux. The OS is unable to perform advanced functions on the files that live on a FAT32 drive; so changing permissions or modifying them is moot. -- Tue Jun 3 22:55:01 EST 2003 22:55:01 up 4 days, 8:04, 4 users, load average: 0.14, 0.13, 0.17 ----------------------------------------------------------------- | __ __ |kuhn media australia | | /-oo /| |'-. |http://kma.0catch.com | | .\__/ || | | |================================| | _ / `._ \|_|_.-' |stephen kuhn | | | / \__.`=._) (_ | email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | ----------------------------------------------------------------- linux user #:267497 linux machine #:194239 * MDK 9.1 & RH 7.3 Mandrake Linux Kernel 2.4.21-11mdk Cooker for i586 ----------------------------------------------------------------- * This message was composed on a 100% Microsoft free computer * Don't tell me what you dreamed last night for I've been reading Freud.
