There are instructions on id's site if I remember correctly. I will have a look when I get home tonight. But you can install using wine to get the pak files if no winblows on your pc then install it natively. It has to unpack them. As well as getting the installer there are now patches for the Linux client as well. I am sure that D Olson will have it on his site (can't remember what it is at the mo all links at home).
