Firstly, I don't think your fans run at 10k+ rpm - unless it's a new fan that I ain't seen'ner'heard of yet... Secondly, are you sure you setup lm_sensors properly in the first place? It's not that it's hard, but it can be a bit confusing. You can always re-setup lm_sensors by re-running the sensors_detect script, and then following through with all the directions; I had to do this twice before it got right as I was getting basically the same BS as you just posted. Now that mine is setup properly and I know exactly how to go through with this every install, you should get something a bit more legible like the following: lm80-i2c-0-2d Adapter: SMBus Via Pro adapter at 0400 Algorithm: Non-I2C SMBus adapter +5V: +3.84 V (min = +5.53 V, max = +0.00 V) ALARM VTT: +1.43 V (min = +1.90 V, max = +1.67 V) ALARM +3.3V: +2.08 V (min = +3.13 V, max = +3.46 V) ALARM +Vcore: +1.27 V (min = +1.80 V, max = +1.99 V) ALARM +12V: +12.95 V (min = +11.37 V, max = +12.57 V) -12V: -6.21 V (min = -12.40 V, max = -11.20 V) -5V: -2.19 V (min = -5.16 V, max = -4.64 V) fan1: 10546 RPM (min = 6000 RPM, div = 1) ALARM fan2: 6818 RPM (min = 6783 RPM, div = 1) temp: -128.00 °C (hot:limit = +6°C, hysteresis = -82°C) ALARM (os: limit = -92°C, hysteresis = -31°C) ALARM alarms: Board temperature input (LM75) ALARM alarms: Chassis intrusion detection ALARM eeprom-i2c-0-50 Adapter: SMBus Via Pro adapter at 0400 Algorithm: Non-I2C SMBus adapter Memory type: SDRAM DIMM SPD Memory size (MB): 256 eeprom-i2c-0-51 Adapter: SMBus Via Pro adapter at 0400 Algorithm: Non-I2C SMBus adapter Memory type: SDRAM DIMM SPD Memory size (MB): 256 eeprom-i2c-0-52 Adapter: SMBus Via Pro adapter at 0400 Algorithm: Non-I2C SMBus adapter Memory type: SDRAM DIMM SPD Memory size (MB): 256 via686a-isa-0c00 Adapter: ISA adapter Algorithm: ISA algorithm CPU core: +1.42 V (min = +1.98 V, max = +2.49 V) ALARM +2.5V: +1.02 V (min = +2.36 V, max = +2.25 V) ALARM I/O: +3.25 V (min = +2.14 V, max = +2.86 V) ALARM +5V: +4.94 V (min = +4.92 V, max = +3.01 V) ALARM +12V: +11.74 V (min = +6.59 V, max = +10.79 V) ALARM CPU Fan: 3409 RPM (min = 3000 RPM, div = 2) P/S Fan: 0 RPM (min = 3000 RPM, div = 2) SYS Temp: +32.0°C (limit = +45°C, hysteresis = +40°C) CPU Temp: +30.3°C (limit = +60°C, hysteresis = +55°C) SBr Temp: +21.4°C (limit = +65°C, hysteresis = +60°C) -- Tue Jul 15 10:25:01 EST 2003 10:25:01 up 1 day, 2:28, 2 users, load average: 0.07, 0.20, 0.24 ----------------------------------------------------------------- | __ __ |kuhn media australia | | /-oo /| |'-. |http://kma.0catch.com | | .\__/ || | | |================================| | _ / `._ \|_|_.-' |stephen kuhn | | | / \__.`=._) (_ | email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | ----------------------------------------------------------------- linux user #:267497 linux machine #:194239 * MDK 9.1+ & RH 9 Mandrake Linux Kernel 2.4.21-11mdk Cooker for i586 ----------------------------------------------------------------- * This message was composed on a 100% Microsoft free computer * All five-second grenade fuses will burn down in three seconds -- Murphy's Military Laws n118
