After I installed 9.1 a while ago, I used aumix to uncheck Mute All, and the sound worked. Next time I booted it was check on again. I unchecked it, saved, quit aumix, started it again and it was ckecked again. Went round and round with aumix with no luck. NOW it won't even come up. Run from KDE as user the hour glass just spins about 20 times and then goes away. Run from konsole as me or as root and the prompt just reappears.
Can I get rid of this POC and use something else to configure sound? mike
