In case I ever need them, how do I put them back?
If you have the HD space, copy them to /usr/src/mdk1, mdk2, mdk3, then in MCC add each one like so:
URL: file://usr/src/mdk1/Mandrake/RPMS
Relative Path: synthesis.hdlist1rpms.cz
this was originally Stephen's idea, and I love it, cuz now I never have to reach for the CD's
if you do not have the HD space, it's the same procedure, but I don't have the exact info to enter anymore as I did as I said above.
I bet someone who still uses removable media on here could copy and paste their URL and Relative Paths into an e-mail as easy as I could, though ;-)
How can I tell if I have the HD space? On the old M$ PC I could click on MY Computer, select C, right click on Properties and get a pretty little pie chart showing how much space I had left.
I assume there is an equivalent (or better!) somewhere in Mandrake, there is for everything else, but I haven't found it yet!
