Lot's of ways Bill. But: 1.) Just Ctrl+Alt+F1 and look at the kernel version there; 2.) open a terminal and type: uname -r <enter> for just the kernel version, or: uname -a <enter> if you want too much information. There are more ways, but these have the benefit of being the simplest and easiest to remember. In case you didn't notice I'm lazy. <g> Regards; Charlie - -- Edmonton,AB,Canada User 244963 at http://counter.li.org Cooker on kernel 2.4.22-9mdk 19:25:48 up 6:51, 1 user, load average: 0.10, 0.18, 0.30 Given my druthers, I'd druther not. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/ZmfmG11CaRuZZSIRArCpAJ9EVgf5+Hv4uIREY8MHwkw2v+so2QCgg4mS uAnfVDmidAEX9xVtI2QqXB4= =Jq3p -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
