Copy/Paste
---------------

Copy /paste using the 'Edit' menu does not necessarily work between
applications that use different toolkits ie kmail and mozilla.

But the method of copy/paste that works everywhere in Linux is
'highlight' with mouse/ click mouse wheel.
Once you get used to it Windows will seem clumsy by comparison.

Default Actions
-------------------
To change default actions in KDE open the KDE
ControlCentre>Components>ComponentsChooser

To change the default application to handle a file type
KDEControlCentre>DileAssociations
search for the file type you want to change and put your favourite app at the
top of the list.

PoP ups
------------

In Mozilla/Firebird/Opera there are options to suppress pop ups or open them
in background. Not sure about Konqueror.
In any case I get rid of pop ups by using 'privoxy' (It is in the 'contrib'
folder on any Mandrake mirror)
With privoxy installed point your browsers to port 8118
Privoxy will block pop ups and adverts configurable per site. It is *very*
good www.privoxy.org
