Can you cache up audio files from an external source like an audio CD

I think I could rig up some sort of audio line from the audio output
socket of my main highfy CD player to the audio imput on my mobo. But
would it work, and can you blow something up ?

John, I have done this with an adaptor chord from radio shack. It has the usual rca jacks for the tape deck and a single plug to go into the sound card on the comp. You will have to play with it and maybe use a third party prog to do it, like "gramofile". Have to do a search on that one. HTH

Thanks Dennis,

I knew someone in linux must of solved this one.
Downloading now, will look for a cable on Sunday.
