That's what I'm confused about too. I just got the MDK newsletter this
AM, and it offers updated kernels without the "offending" modules. Do we
have a chicken before the egg thing here? Maybe the safest install at
this point would be a network-floppy install? Since the updated kernels
will be on the mirrors, but not on the ISO's?

I'm pretty sure I'm not affected anyway, since my LG is a burner, but
I'm still trying to wrap my head around this one.
