if your cdrom is bootable insert it and install linux when you get to disk
druid make the following partiions

sda1    /boot           15MB
sda2    /windows        1000MB
sda5     swap           128
sda6    /               100
sda7    /usr            1000
sda8    /usr/src        100
sda9    /var            100
sda10   /home           200
sda11   /apps           500

but this will help
after installing linux boot your window98 cdrom and install it
linux can even mount windries
