Both of you are right, of course ........but then so am I

In mdk9.2 you can still use "rpm --rebuild blabla.src.rpm".
If that's due to aliases or configuration of /etc/popt is up to you to look 
up;)

In the mean time I'm sure lanman built his rpm.
