I was fooling around the other day, and I reinstalled Windows 2000 Pro and Mandrake 9.2 in a dual-boot setup. I have a secondary 6GB hard drive that I wanted to see if I could partition and format as a single FAT32 partition that could be read/written by both OS's. It worked! In MDK 9.2, it is mounted as /winshare.
Now, I'm playing again. I opened DiskDrake, and (I thought) deleted the /winshare partition, reformatted using ext3 and mounted it as /var/servers for putting my FTP and WWW stuff. Now, when I restart, I have a /var/servers AND a /winshare. How come I still have /winshare? I thought I got rid of it!
