Actually, the giFT network is an open-source version of the FastTrack (read: KaZaa) network. They have some difficulty though, with not enough search nodes on the network (I can hardly ever manage to get a search node on my po' 56kbps :/), but there is a plug-in available so that you can access the real FastTrack network - with all of its millions of dead files, porn and junk :P
