Dumb question time.
Can you ping the router from other computers on the network?

If so, is it only the wireless connection you can not ping from?

Are you running a firewall on the wireless computer?

Can you access the Internet using the wireless connection through the router?

Can you access setup on the router using the wireless connection? (Usually http://192.168.1.1)

If you can access the Internet, and the setup page on the router, then I would not worry about being able to ping it. It could be that the router will not respond to pings from a wireless connection...
