In all honesty, I prefer launching WM's from runlevel 3 - as you give yourself more system resource without having the DM running - and if you take that as the case, you can install Xtart which will identify most of the installed WM's you may have...besides that, living in runlevel 3 gives you more flexibility to experiment and troubleshoot issues with X... -- stephen kuhn GNU/linux-Open Source-GPL Solutions and Alternatives 100% Microsoft free and no viruses here.
