No, in a terminal type: kdesu konqueror A pop up password logon box will appear, and after you type the root password it will open konqueror as root. Back in the "old days", before 9.1, there was a shortcut in the start menu for accomplishing this, but it was removed for security purposes. Since then, I make my own shortcut for this action. I sometimes want to drag and drop files as root, because I am constantly making typos when I try to move or copy from the command line. Me Bad e
