I've never used vim, so I don't know whether it's highlighting a problem or an unrecognised word. I take the simple way of dealing with fstab. I use Mandrake Control Center to set up every line, and don't mess with it after that. In theory it's perfectly easy to hand-edit, but why bother when a space or comma misplaced can make it go wrong? I've never had a problem with any entry that MCC has set up.

But sometimes, especially if you boot up various kernels, the fstab created by MCC behaves strangely. I had to edit it per hand and then it worked.
