(NOTE: the list in 1 above is incomplete) RPMs were istalled using rpm -Uvh then installed the patch (see 3 above) unless you wish to do things the hard way. So far have not started to educate it (even if the new school year started here on Monday just past.) as I need to get into town to get a new mic etc. My mobo is a ASUS with AMD Duron 1100 processor, Soundcard: VT82C686 (Apollo Super AC97/Audio).
