[newbie] Lots of questions, need help!

where the Lilo.conf file located? how can i check if my network card is setup right? if not, what can i use to set it up (linuxconf?)? how can i test to see if the card is working once it is set up? and finally i installed mandrake, i had it on before but i forget what the xconfig command is, something like "Xconfigurator" ? i need it to set up my monitor, because when i maximize a program, i cant get to the title bar in the program cuz the task bar is there :*( danks if you can help!
