Check the refresh rate that linux set for your monitor. My monitor was
listed under the install, but for some reason linux set it at 100 for my
refresh rate at a resolution of 1152 x 864. I reinstalled the system
and instead of choosing my particular monitor during the install, I
selected custom. I put in the settings that I knew my monitor could
handle and I did not have a problem.

If that is not your problem, then yes manual adjust you monitor. I have
a dual boot machine, 98 and linux, and after adjusting my monitor for
linux it works for both systems.

Hope this helps,

Gary
