Hi There :
I have tried to use kppp 1.6.22 without success:
I can get a remote and local address without problems in the
negotiation.
I have a correct connection as appeared in /etc/messages
Since I have got mandrake 6.0 and 6.1 I use kppp without success , -
actually I use XISP dialer without troubles.
now I have the Red Hat 6.1 cartman , but I have the same results as
listed above :
********SIMILAR MANDRAKE AND RED HAT 6.1*********
1.- I have configured the DNS address and options as indicated in the
help file of KPPP , no problem
2.- My connection is succeed , but when I have got the remote address
from the ISP server and a local address in for my machine .
3.- But when I tried to get an URL either with netscape or kfm ,
there is an indication as " the name server is not reached " as well as
other
netscape variables conflict , typically when you try it without a
connection to the web .
4.- I have verified the /etc/resolv.conf about options also after the
connection with kppp I have success with a ping command with the help
of Network Utilities .
but for both dialers I have the same logs, but the real connection with
kppp is not working

Do you have a comment / hint / advice to use kppp ???
I really like the way it measures the calls statistic and good looking
of kppp .
