Subject:  RE: [newbie] Boot problem

Look at your BIOS.  I don't *think* it should be set to LBA.  I can't remember what 
the other choices are.  I think maybe normal works.

You are like trying to boot from a partition that is above the 1024 mark.
Boot from your floppy (assuming you made one ) and run linuxconf to change
the bootloader to hda
