I use midnight commander for darned near everything. Just put the file
under the highlight, whack enter, and you'll see the contents of most any
archive. Then just F5 copy them outta there to the other window, and you're
done.

mc is the command to start it, and it will handle zips just fine.

Subject: [newbie] COmpressed files

I was wondering what program I need to open .zip files. I have tried the
archiver that comes with redhat 6.0, but it doesn't seem to work. Anyone
know what program or patch I need? Thanks.
Payne
