[newbie] partition problem

when i am in the partitioner, which has always worked fine before. i try to make an ext2 partition and it says this : Minimum filesystem size is 20059248 sectors at usr/bin/perl-install/resize_fat/main.pm line 130.    what does this mean and how can i fix it, i installed norton systemworks the other day. does this have anything to do with it?i have 7.0-2 if that means anything.
