This is the one that works:

mount -t msdos /dev/hdc4 /mnt/zip

Many thanks to you and everybody else for solving the problem. Your help is
much appreciated.

Why hdc4 and not hdc?

Can I put an entry for mounting the Zip drive in /etc/fstab?

What is "supermount"?
