[newbie] Window manager(KDE,Enlightenment,BlackBox...)

Who uses which for what? It seems each of the "session types" ie. WindowMaker, After Step, Enlightenment,Gnome, KDE,etc has its proponents. I'd like to know what you guys think is the best .
