Hi again. Been having a look at shell scripts etc. and noticed that when entering the comand "set | more" I find amongst other things "HOSTTYPE=i586" However at the login prompt it describes my system as i686 Why the difference and what is their meaning??? My processor is not intel but a Cyric Mll 300. Cheers Andrew
