Eugene and Seth

Not to worry, I had this problem yesterday when I installed my modem and was
able to fix it. Here's what you need to do:

1) You need to be able to connect to the Internet for starters (sounds like
both of you can). When you get connected wth KPPP goto the details on your
connection (found in the little window that shows you are connected) and you
will see your local IP and your IPS's IP, write both of these down, you'll
need them in a minute.

2) Open up your /etc/resolv.conf file and see what is contained inside.
For mine, I had no entries. In order to make mine work I had to add the
below lines:

    search mc.net
[put your ISP's IP address here]

Once you have added this info to the file, you should be all set. Close
the file, exit all your Netscape windows if you have any open, and try
Netscape again. If this still doesn't work, try looking up your local ISP's
IP address and see if he has any others that can be used. Or you could
break down and call your ISP to get a list of IP's if he/she will give it to
you :)

I hope this helps. I'm at work now, so I don't have my files in front of me
to be able to supply you with specific examples, but i'll send some when I
get home tonight if you are still having trouble. Later-

Joe :)
