Hi!

I am trying to put my FTP server working too...

I have mandrake 7.02 air and I have read the following:

Local Telnet and FTP
http://www.mandrakeuser.org/connect/ctrans.html
(this article seems old, because BeroFTPD is not part of LM7.02)

Setting up ftp server
http://linux.nf/stepbystep.htm

May be your answer is there. In file inet.conf, do you have a line with:
telnet ... ?
If you have a "#" before that, please delete it, in order to enable telnet.
Remember to make:
killall -HUP inetd
after change the inet.conf file
and then start inet service:
service inet start

I have one question: When am trying to make ftp to localhost I can not. It
tries to make the connection but necer succeded.
- What is the user name and the password I should use?
- Where I put the users and passwords?
- What is telenet program you use?

Thanks in advance
Pedro
