[newbie] ASUS K7V and Sound

I am trying to get sound in Mandrake 7.1 working with an ASUS K7V motherboard
which has the onboard AC'97 audio chip.

 I get these messages in the system log:

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Also, should I have Sound Blaster emulation enabled in the bios or not?
