well this is when search engines come in handy, check out cnet, cnet, tucows, 
etc. you may find some free programs! also some programs you already have may 
support scanners and web cams  like gimp im sure it supports it, i have yet 
to try it myself but then i finally got my mandrake 7.1 running last night 
yet still working out some bugs
