Hi everybody, First of all thank you very much to all of you who tried to help me. After spending so many hours trying to type something between the screen flashes with no luck and almost getting crazy, I can't believe the solution was SO EASY: I JUST HAD TO TIPE LINUX 3 AT THE LILO PROMPT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I was in terminal mode with no blinking. Started xf86Config, followed the instructions (with all the details of my monitor, card, etc. that I had noted before) and that was it. I spent a terrible time yesterday and today all morning trying to fix it, but now I feel really GREAAAAAAAAAAAAT.
