[newbie] Changing KDE to Gnome

Hi everybody!

I am new to Mandrake and this list and I´ve tried to change
Mandranke´s default KDE2 (too slow) to the faster Gnome
Desktop, but there´s no menu item to do this!?

Can somebody help?

So I found out that Mandrake loads the very fast IceWm
if I start the X writing  startx (any letter).
