I'd take what they have, check for potential hardware incompatibilities and
note all hardware resource usage before temprarily shuting down the nt
server for the install, and test, then install substitute drives (assuming
its a fit) and load.  If thats not reasonable, I'd argue for similar hp on a
separate box using matching components (you can argue that if you fail, they
can be spares for the nt server).  If you succeed, the nt server will end up
as spares.   I'm not a good person (lack of Linux experience) to suggest the
best Linux configuration.

That is what I was striving for any way.  So how would you set it all up.  I
have access to any and everything need, I just need some suggestions on the
best configuration.
