Dear All, Thank you to all of you who helped me with the installation of
Applix 5.0 demo. I finally got it installed. For some reason all of a
sudden the install script worked after it did not before. Has anyone
here used Applixware? How does it compare with StarOffice? So far I like
StarOffice the best. The Wordperfect demo hardly opens any other
documents that I have where StarOffice 5.2 opens almost everything.
There is a sale on the Applixware 5.0. It is 49.99 instead of 99.00. I
would purchase it if it would replace my MSWord dependency. I use MSWord
for a newsletter with headings columns, graphics, and calendars. I use
the calendar wizard for the calendars. If I could do all of that with a
Linux office suite I would be very pleased. Does anyone know if
Applixware would do this well or would StarOffice? I have to admit I
love the help system on MSWord. If StarOffice would have a better help
search method it certainly would be to its advantage I think. Thanks
