This I understand and have done. However as user I cannot execute ifup ppp0,
I get 'command not found'. As root I got the modem to dial but could not
kill the process. There also seems to be a conflict between kppp and diald(?)
since adding the demand and idle lines to /etc/ppp/options. The error code is
2 which makes me wonder if there is some confusion over who owns the modem.
Is it the 'lock' command.
How do you pass a command from the windows machine to execute ifup ppp0 ?
Thanks for your time
