[newbie] buying Domain Name from Yahoo

Hi all,
I am going to buy a Domain Name (registered Domain) for my Web Server. I
have a plain to buy it from Yahoo. Has anyone bought it from Yahoo? Is
this a good way to do? It's cost about $35.00 USD/year.
