Yeap, good point...
The Xterminal launch normally returns meaninful error messages...

Sometimes i find it useful to run the command in an xterminal. This
usually reports any errrors which otherwise would be normally hidden,
this may help you get to the root of the problem.
With regards to OpenGL support, it seems that Linux dosnt like the
graphics board on my laptop either (S3Virge DX), i could play OpenGL
games in windows, and at a good speed too.. but no such luck under linux
:(
But, hey.. i reckon its a small sacrifice!
