Hi Andrew, I tried to do as you say but it did not work for me. I think the Mandrake web site says you need a username and a password to update from any of the ftp sites. Don't you have to have a username and password for the ftp site you choose to update from? I gave "anonymous" as username and I gave my email address as my password but without success.
