The 2 coolest games:
Unreal Tournament
Quake 3 Arena

Both work on linux, whats wrong ;)

Actually I have Win2k installed for Adobe Photoshop (there are a few
things that gimp can't do and there is more plugins) and for games,
and browsing the net (I'm stuck with a winmodem until pay day :(

I think it might get worse for games on linux. DirectX 8 is equal in
terms of power to opengl, and DirectX9 will be more powerful. And
games for the XBox will be DirectX. And since the xbox is a mostly
computer it isn't hard to port them to the pc. OS is the same
(windows), Graphic API is the same (directX). until someone works out
how to do direct x natively under xwindows it's going to suck a bit.
