the problem is the default "nv" drivers.
opengl under that is terrible. get the ones off of nvidias web site
(aka the "nvidia" ones) and you should be getting at least 50-55 fps.

Well I have a geforce 2MX with a AMD k6-2 550Mhz and 384Megs of ram
and I get 50-55 FPS so you should get more.
I'm also running tux with a few features turned on and tux at
1024x768. at the default 640x480 stuff I get 60fps easy. hth
