LURKER here, and from my USR manual: "LAPM" "Link Access Procedure for Modems, an error-control protoclol defined in ITU-T Recommendation V.42. Like the MNP protocols , LAPM uses cyclic redundancy checking (CRC) and retransmission of corrupted data (ARQ) to ensure data reliability." There is an explanation for the MNP, ITU-T, Protocol, CRC and ARQ if you need them I can send them as well. Steve Flynn, I am NOT trying to step on what you are attempting to do, I just had my book right next to me so I just thought I would jump in.
