thanks, forgot about that there should be a rpm for that stinkin thing... :) 
installed it...

now... where do i tell the kernel to load it?
i put it in rc.sysinit
/etc/init.d/portmap start
/etc/init.d/nfslock start

portmap started fine... nfs locks the machine and gets some stupid error? 
should i put this into rc.local instead?
