I've got ncurses-5.2-16mdk libncurses5-5.2-16mdk libncurses5-devel-5.2-16mdk installed and had no dependency messages. They must'a been on my CD's 'cause I didn't d/l and install 'em ;) While we're at it, I booted 8.1's 2.4.8 and removed 2.4.10-1mdk before installing -2mdk. There's been some discussion on cooker that installing -2mdk over -1mdk won't create the proper links in /boot. I use a bashrc alias to check /boot before I try to use a new kernel. alias bootlinks="ll /boot/{initrd,vmlinuz,System.map}*" and I didn't have a link problem either. ~ $ bootlinks lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 28 Oct 4 16:11 /boot/initrd.img -> /boot/initrd-2.4.10-2mdk.img lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 22 Oct 4 16:15 /boot/System.map -> System.map-2.4.10-2mdk lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 19 Oct 4 16:11 /boot/vmlinuz -> vmlinuz-2.4.10-2mdk -- Tom Brinkman Galveston Bay, USA Admiral Yamamoto: "I fear that all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant, and filled him with a terrible resolve."
