There are a couple different methods for backing up information on a server. You can backup over smb, ftp (or nfs) to another PC on your local network, or you can backup to a different disk on the same PC or you can even backup to an 'offsite' location.
Of course, you didn't need to send two copies of the same message to the list (in HTML no less) within 2 minutes. I'm sure most people got the first one.
